Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.

Agree a Net Zero vision and start to work towards it

Your Net Zero vision sets out how you'll reduce your emissions. You'll need to agree roles and responsibilities among your staff to make sure you're working towards this vision.

Engage your SLT to make a net zero commitment

Engage with your Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to agree a target date for reducing the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions your setting produces to net zero.

Develop your net zero vision

Net zero is the point when your setting has reduced the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions you produce, so that any remaining can be absorbed by nature, leaving zero in the atmosphere.

Identify a member of your Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who will oversee your setting's efforts to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to net zero.

Identify a member of staff who will be responsible for leading and coordinating your commitment to reaching net zero. This person will work across your whole community to oversee projects that help to reduce your setting's emissions.
