Use the research you've done on how to decarbonise your setting to create a decarbonisation strategy and a Net Zero plan.

Develop a decarbonisation strategy

Develop and share an outline plan to reduce your setting's carbon emissions over time to net zero. Net zero is the point when your setting has sufficiently reduced the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions you produce so they can be absorbed by nature and other measures, leaving zero in the atmosphere.

Explore scenario modelling

Scenario modeling in decarbonisation planning involves creating different hypothetical situations (scenarios). Use these to explore the potential outcomes of different strategies your setting has identified.

Long term action

Develop a plan for net zero

Develop a detailed delivery plan for how your setting will reduce its carbon emissions to net zero, informed by your decarbonisation strategy. Decide on the interventions you will take and prioritise them, ensuring that key members of staff who will be responsible are involved in your planning process.
