Agree roles and responsibilities to support biodiversity progress

Define, agree and integrate any duties that contribute to enhancing biodiversity into your staff's roles. You may include other stakeholders where appropriate. Responsibilities could range from coordinating all biodiversity projects, to maintaining wildlife habitats, planting native species, or monitoring biodiversity indicators.

This approach ensures that everyone understands their role in your biodiversity efforts, and will help to identify any training or CPD needs. It is important that those with responsibilities understand their role and are given the capacity to do perform it, supported by the knowledge, resources, tools and budget required to make progress.

This demonstrates your setting's commitment, and will drive consistent, coordinated action to help you achieve your biodiversity goals.
