Audit your decarbonisation progress
Assess the effectiveness of your efforts to reduce carbon and greenhouse gas emissions across your setting. Evaluate the effectiveness of energy reduction measures and reduced consumption patterns. Review the success of waste management practices - especially the increase in recycling rates and reduction in waste going to landfill. Assess the implementation of sustainable initiatives such as active travel plans, catering and general procurement.
This audit should be conducted on a regular basis. The frequency of your audits will depend on various factors, including the size of your setting, the complexity of your decarbonisation strategy and any regulatory requirements.
