Engage with local community initiatives to increase your setting's climate resilience

Reach out and collaborate with local organisations, including your regional Climate Ambassadors hub, local and regional government agencies, utility providers and community groups. Use these connections to take actions that enhance your setting's ability to adapt to climate change impacts. This includes participating in community resilience projects, sharing resources and knowledge, and coordinating efforts to address shared climate challenges.

Find out what's already happening in your local community and see if there are opportunities to get involved. If not, consider approaching organisations and partnering with them to run initiatives.

This will help you build closer community ties, increase awareness and buy-in, and add additional resources and support from your community.
