Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.

Engage parents in your climate adaptation planning

Get your parents involved in making your setting more resilient to climate events. This could be through meetings, parents evenings, regular communication routes or surveys. Consult them on your draft plans and input their ideas - they may have valuable expertise.

This action will build a sense of community and shared responsibility, and ensure diverse perspectives are considered. It contributes to a unified approach to sustainability which can drive whole setting and community buy-in. It also educates families about climate adaptation, and contributes to broader community resilience.
