Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.
Plan a session on active travel in your behaviour change programme
Organise awareness-raising sessions to educate your whole community about the benefits of choosing active travel to and from your setting. It is helpful to use the results of your travel survey to inform the content of the sessions. The sessions can also be used as an opportunity to gather ideas from your community to develop your active travel plan, or to seek feedback on it.
Promoting the environmental, community, and health and wellbeing benefits of active travel, is a key step in inspiring your community to adopt more sustainable travel habits. This will directly reduce your carbon footprint.
