Develop a programme of climate adaptation fundraising applications

Look for suitable grants for your climate adaptation projects and make note of the key information about them. This includes any eligibility requirements, and the dates for submitting applications, receiving spending and funding.

Also make a record of any data, project, cost or technical information that will need to be submitted in support of the applications, and the time and cost it will take to gather this information. For example, this might include procurement of surveys, designs and quotations prepared by suppliers.

Use this information to prioritise the funds you want to apply for and set out a plan (perhaps on a termly or annual basis) to prepare and submit funding applications. This schedule will help you to complete and submit applications as soon as a funding window opens, which will increase your chances of success.
