Promote the benefits of using outdoor learning spaces to your stakeholders

Communicate with parents, children and young people, governors and trustees about how outdoor learning can enhance teaching and development. You can also seek their feedback and address any concerns they may have. This will help you to address any barriers to implementing outdoor learning at your setting.

Emphasise benefits such as improved physical health, increased engagement and curiosity, and better cognitive and emotional development. Outdoor spaces also foster creativity, social skills, and resilience. Educate stakeholders on how nature-based learning supports environmental awareness and sustainability, aligning with educational goals. Additionally, outdoor settings offer diverse learning opportunities across subjects like science, math, and art.

By promoting these advantages, you encourage stakeholders to support and invest in outdoor education, enhancing the overall educational experience and well-being of your children and young people.
