Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.

Set some short, medium and long term adaptation aims

Set strategic goals to improve your setting's climate resilience over the short, medium and long term. You may want to engage your stakeholders to help your leadership develop these aims.

Short term aims will help you to address 'quick wins' and high priority actions that you identified through your climate risk assessment. Setting medium and longer term aims will help you prepare and plan the implementation of any more complex or costly actions you have identified.

By involving your stakeholders in this process, you can ensure that the needs and values of your community are aligned with these aims. It's important to regularly reflect on your goals and share your progress, updating them on your journey to creating a climate resilient setting.

For settings with a leased estate, it is important to collaborate with your landlord to identify what is possible for your site.
