Complete and submit climate adaptation funding applications

Use your climate adaptation funding programme to schedule your application submissions. You can increase your chances of receiving grant funding by preparing your applications before the funding window opens. Make sure you’ve understood any qualification criteria, and assemble any supporting evidence and information. This will enable you to apply as soon as the window opens.

Some grant funding applications require detailed supporting project, technical or cost information. You may need the support of a professional service provider to complete this. Many providers will be familiar with the funding application process and may offer their support at no cost, or on a no-win-no-fee basis. Arrange support from a provider ahead of the application window opening to allow time for this preparatory work to be undertaken and to ensure their availability.

If budget allows, some organisations enlist the help of a professional fundraiser or grant application writer to lead or support their applications, especially if the application process is complex or competitive. They should be able to demonstrate their track record and success before working with you.
