Establish a process to update your climate risk assessment annually
Establish an annual process to review and update your setting's climate risk assessment. The process should involve gathering the latest climate data and using this to update your climate risk assessment, which will enable you to adjust your strategy as needed.
It is important to also capture any new insights gained via training or CPD, or research completed about your priority risk areas. Regular updates will enhance your preparedness and improve your setting's ability to manage climate risks, reducing the potential costs of high-impact events.
It may be helpful to ensure this is a standing item once a year for a current meeting, or to set an agreed upon point in the year when a review is suitable.
