Develop a climate adaptation plan

Develop a structured plan to pull together all activity related to helping make your setting more resilient to the impacts of climate change. Ideally, you have already developed a wider climate adaptation strategy - this plan should focus on delivery of the strategy. Your plan should outline the actions prioritised for the short, medium and long term, along with the resources allocated and the responsible members or teams. Work collaboratively with them and your key stakeholders.

Feed your climate adaptation objectives and aims into this plan, and try to break it down into achievable actions with target deadlines, perhaps by term, to help keep your setting on track. Build in some flexibility and review points to continuously assess if it is still fit for purpose.

Creating this plan will help set out what you're looking to achieve, hold teams and your setting to account, create transparency, and ensure that your setting keeps track of progress.

For settings with a leased estate, it is important to collaborate with your landlord to identify what is possible for your site.

Create a list to save actions and resources, or make a plan for your setting.
