Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.
Further develop your scenario modeling
Enhance your ability to explore different strategies for reducing carbon and greenhouse gas emissions by simulating various scenarios.
While you will have previously performed some basic scenario modeling using investment requirements or time parameters to create your scenarios, this action takes it a step further. For example, as your emissions data becomes more mature and you can see the effectiveness of your chosen strategy, use this to further refine your scenario modeling and update your decarbonisation strategy accordingly. You should also consider emerging technologies and how these might help you to achieve Net Zero more quickly.
Performing an annual review and refining your scenario models over time will help you to better evaluate the feasibility, costs, and impact of potential actions, such as upgrading infrastructure. This will allow you to make informed decisions, ensuring that your long-term decarbonisation plan is realistic, effective, and continues to align with your setting's resources and goals. Strengthening your scenario modeling helps to prioritise actions, maximise results, and improve the chances of successfully achieving your Net Zero goal.
