Engage your stakeholders to improve waste management
Engage with everyone connected to your setting, including staff, guardians, children and young people, suppliers and the local community, to help you to make your waste practices more sustainable. By seeking stakeholder input when developing any waste aims or projects, you will ensure any action taken reflects their needs and values.
Speak to your waste contractor, as they will normally be happy to support you with resources.
It is important to continue to engage with your stakeholders on any plans or progress made, as well as sharing ways in which they can support you to achieve your goals. This will help to foster a shared sense of environmental responsibility, and enable them to offer their time and resources. By working together, everyone helps to create a more sustainable setting, which will improve your setting's perception.
