Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.
Conduct a waste audit
Examine the types and amounts of waste your setting produces, and your waste disposal practices. Speak to your waste contractors, who are obliged to provide details on your overall waste tonnage and how it is disposed of. Understanding this will help you to identify opportunities to reduce your environmental impact and can lead to lower waste disposal costs.
This will enable you to create a cleaner, more sustainable environment. It sets a positive example for children and young people about environmental responsibility, and gives the opportunity to educate your community on sustainable waste practices.
