Part of Let’s Go Zero, Climate Action Advisors are independent experts who offer free support for schools, colleges, and nurseries across England.
Engage your water supplier
Initiate conversations with your water supplier to gather information on your setting's water consumption patterns. Request historical usage data and any benchmarks they can provide to help identify areas for improvement.
Water suppliers often have extensive knowledge about water conservation practices and can provide tailored advice based on your setting’s specific needs and circumstances. In some instances they can also visit your setting and provide free educational resources to support any behaviour change efforts that may be required to support more efficient water use.
Benefits include lower water bills through the identification of inefficiencies and implementing conservation measures. These cost savings can be redirected to support other sustainability initiatives.
