Engage your estates and site management in biodiversity initiatives

Create collaboration opportunities between your children or young people and the people responsible for maintaining your setting's site and green space. Biodiversity projects are an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary learning across all ages, and can be integrated into formal teaching subjects like science, geography and art, as well as informal play and extra curricular activities.

Encouraging engagement between your estates and site management and your children or young people will help to foster community pride, which can improve setting perception. It also encourages teamwork and collaboration toward shared goals, which can increase job satisfaction for your staff, and enjoyment for your learners.
