Seek input from staff, learners and parents on biodiversity initiatives

Gather ideas and feedback from stakeholders, including parents if appropriate, about any current and future biodiversity initiatives you have planned. By regularly seeking their input, you will build buy-in and continued engagement, promote collaboration and community involvement, and ensure that your goals align with your community's needs and values.

This approach will generate diverse perspectives and provide interested stakeholders with the opportunity to offer you their time or resources. You can tell stakeholders about your progress so far, and highlight the links between increasing your setting's biodiversity, creating outdoor learning opportunities and improving your community's mental health and wellbeing. To support this, it may be helpful to ask your stakeholders whether they have observed any mental health, wellbeing or educational benefits through any completed initiatives.
