Seek feedback on the outdoor learning programme from staff learners and parents

Gather input from your staff, parents and learners on your outdoor learning programme, including any action you have taken to promote learning outside in nature. This should build on previous times you have requested feedback, focussing more on the overarching programme as a whole.

This is an important step to ensure that your programme is having the desired effect on promoting outdoor learning. This could be done via surveys, forums, during staff meetings or parents evenings, or suggestion boxes. Try to embed collection into current communication channels, and to gather a varied and sizable sample.

Once collected, analyse the feedback for trends and summarise your findings to feed into further improvements to your plan, perhaps for the next academic year. Gathering feedback helps identify areas for improvement, boosts engagement and satisfaction among staff and parents, and supports the continuous enhancement of your setting’s outdoor learning programme.
